Tanner's cassia (Senna auriculata)is a leguminous tree in the subfamily Caesalpinioideae. t is commonly known by its local names matura tea tree, avaram or the English version Avaram senna.

  • Dried Avarampoo powder 1 teaspoon
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Palm sugar 1 tsp
  • Black Peppercorns (Optional)
  • Cardamom Powder a pinch

Method:

  • Pound avarampoo powder, palm candy and black peppercorns coarsely in a mortar and pestle.
  • In a pan, boil milk with the pounded mixture.
  • Strain the milk and serve hot.
